Sarah McPeek (Brodie Lab) won the Ecological Society of America’s Theory Section
Volterra Award for the best theory talk by a graduate student at the annual
Ecological Society of America meetings. She presented her talk: “Resource
evolution shapes the contemporary ecology of mutualisms in communities” during
an invited symposium on mutualism theory at the August meetings in Montreal,
Quebec. The talk featured work from her two recent papers, McPeek et al. 2021:
